Sierra Witham

Lead Preschool Teacher

Before joining New Hope Early Learning Center, Sierra taught young children at a literacy nonprofit and a licensed child care home for survivors of domestic violence. Inspired by educator Carla Shalaby, Sierra understands the classroom as a space to practice transformative justice. She enjoys co-creating a thriving learning community through read-alouds, cooperative games, and dramatic play. She is pursuing an M.S.Ed. in teaching, learning, and curriculum -- with a focus on early childhood care and education -- from Indiana University.
